Our story

One promise in 2003. 300+ children today.

Sri Jadi Madhava Rao founded Aadarana in Saroor Nagar, Hyderabad, in 2003. Today, that children's home is a campus.

From the founder

We don't run a facility. We run a home.

I grew up in a Telangana village where most of my friends never finished school. Some had parents who couldn't afford it; others had no parents at all. By the time I was 30, I had watched the same pattern repeat for two decades.

In 2003 I founded Aadarana in Saroor Nagar. We were a home before we were a charity.

Twenty-two years later, 300+ children — 200 boys and 100 girls — live with us. Our 15+ teachers run our free on-campus school. Our first alumna recently defended her master's thesis at Macquarie University, Sydney. Another is a mining engineer in Odisha. They visit, they write, they sponsor the next child.

Every rupee that comes to Aadarana is tracked, audited, and accounted for. We publish our annual report because transparency isn't a feature here — it's the only way a home like this can last another twenty-two years.
